I ordered this as an addition to the factory cooler on my 09 Tahoe. I used some scrap aluminum brackets to fabricate a sturdy mount for the cooler itself. The particular cooler I purchased had 1/2" NPT female fittings. I bought some AN to NPT fittings and used braided steel lines to connect it all up. Once installed, I saw a decent temperature drop in the transmission temps. Before the cooler I was averaging about 178 degrees at a OAT of 72. Once installed, even with an 85 degree day, the transmission temps never went above 160 degrees. On the highway at 73 MPH, with an OAT of 87 degrees, my transmission temps never went above 160 degrees. Do yourself a favor, search for some youtube videos for proper installation on your particular vehicle. DO NOT bypass your factory cooler in the radiator when you install this - it plays an important role in getting the fluid up to a good operating temperature.
